What is forex trading?
Forex, foreign exchange, FX or currency trading, is a global market where all the world's currencies trade. Forex trading involves the simultaneous purchase of one currency and selling of another, with the aim of profiting from fluctuations in the exchange rate.
What moves forex markets?
Like most financial markets, forex price movement is primarily driven by supply and demand. If more traders want to buy a certain currency than there are those willing to sell, then the market moves up in price until those buyers are able to buy. Forex market is also affected by news. If a positive piece of news hits the markets the market will move up. The same applies for negative news which will cause the market to move down.
